The Damien Museum 130 Ohua Ave (at Kalakaua Avenue), Honolulu, HI 96815-3642

This museum is decided to the priest, Father Damien Joseph De Veuster who worked with the Hansen's disease (leprosy) patients exiled to Kalaupapa on the island of Molokai. The museum, though small, is full of photographs, artifacts, memorabilia, and a 20 minute video on the life of Father Damien. Having contracted the disease himself and passing away, in 1995, he was declared blessed by Pope John Paul II.

The work of the owner, Roy Gonzales Tabora is mainly shown here with some oils and pastels by his son Rudolf Gonzales and local artist, Juno Galang as well as Hawaiian landscapes by Gary Reed. This friendly little gallery is located in the Hilton Hawaiian Village Rainbow Bazaar. Here, you can acquire serigraphs, laser prints, lithographs, and originals that are on sale.
